Vishakha - About the Founder

A little about Our founder

“I feel like I have a unique ability to talk to my silks. It may sound amusing, but I have always been able to sense the many nuances of a fabric and speak its language.”

The art of textile has long interested Vishakha. As a third-generation curator of quality textiles, her knowledge of silks is a marvel. Her fascination with them began well into her childhood as she observed the business of textile through the lens of her previous generations.

It was during the year 2020, when covid-19 hit, that she witnessed the plight of the local weavers of India, and with it, the decline of the surreal art form of handwoven textiles.

Her decision to then contribute to the resurgence of the traditional art-form was a no-brainer.
